HIGHLIGHTS
September 2008: Selby commits to play for Bruce Pearl and Tennessee.
April 2009: Selby announces plans to transfer to Lake Clifton High School in Baltimore for his senior year. He previously played at DeMatha High School, the alma mater of former UK star Keith Bogans.
June 23-26, 2009: Selby participates in the Deron Williams Skills Academy, a camp in Dallas that showcases 20 of the best point guards in high school basketball. Among the other participants were UK target Brandon Knight and Marquis Teague, the consensus No. 1 point guard prospect in the class of 2011 and a UK and Louisville target.
July 5-8, 2009: Selby participates in the LeBron James Skills Academy in Akron Ohio, a camp for 80 of the nation's best high school players. Selby was among 30 players selected from the camp to represent the United State in the Nike Global Challenge, an international basketball competition held in Oregon. UK players John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins participated in the event in 2008.
July 8-9, 2009: Selby teamed with UK target Doron Lamb and Harrison Barnes on the "Michigan State" team in the King City Classic in Cleveland.
July 2009: Selby withdraws his commitment to Tennessee and reopens his recruiting process.
August 7-9, 2009: Selby helped the USA East team defeat Canada 105-104 in the championship game of the Nike Global Challenge. Selby averaged 21.3 points and 5.3 assists in the tournament and was one of five players named to the All-Global Challenge team. His teammates included one-time UK target and Duke signee Kyrie Irving and Memphis signee Will Barton.
December 2009: Selby is one of 10 high school seniors named to the Naismith Boys’ High School Player of the Year Award watch list honoring the nation's best high school player. The list will be cut to five in February.
Feb. 11, 2010: Selby is one of 24 high school seniors named a McDonald's All-American. He will play with several other UK recruits in the nation's premier high school all-star game March 31 in Columbus.
