A 16-year-old Pulaski County girl was killed Sunday evening in a crash near her home, authorities said.

Two men also were injured in the crash.

Bailey Haynes, 16, died in the crash, Pulaski County Coroner Richard New said. Haynes did not have a driver's license or learner's permit, state police said.

The wreck happened on U.S. 27 about 4 miles south of Burnside. The girl's 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2000 Ford Ranger pickup driven by Arron Perry, 20, of Whitley City, according to state police.

A state trooper driving north on U.S. 27 about 8:30 p.m. Sunday found the crash and called for an ambulance.

Haynes, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was not wearing a seat belt, state police said.

Perry and a passenger in the car driven by Haynes, 30-year-old Steven Slinker of Attica, Ind., were taken by helicopter to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Perry was listed in serious condition and Slinker was in fair condition on Monday evening.
