Wayne Blackshear, the top-ranked junior in Illinois and one of the top 15 players in the country, committed to Louisville on Friday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The Sun-Times said Blackshear, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard who plays for Chicago's Morgan Park High School, chose Louisville over several major programs, including DePaul, Illinois, Marquette, Tennessee, North Carolina, UNLV, Kentucky, Southern California, Indiana and Michigan State.

"Coach Pitino's reputation and Louisville's style of play is what really did it for me,'' Blackshear told the Sun-Times. ''I took two visits there and really felt comfortable."
