A former downtown business owner accused of stalking and video voyeurism waived his case to the grand jury Tuesday morning.
Terry A. Grossman, 55, was arrested Dec. 18 after he allegedly broke into a home on Crescent Avenue that was occupied by several female University of Kentucky students. He appeared in Fayette District Court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
Fayette District Judge Maria Ransdell ordered Grossman not to contact the alleged victims.
Grossman is the former owner of Mad Hatter hat shop, a downtown staple until it was sold to make way for the now stalled CentrePointe project.
Grossman and his attorney, Ed Cooley, declined to comment after Tuesday's hearing.
Lexington police said Grossman has used video and still cameras on his phone sporadically since August to take nude photographs and videos of women in the house he allegedly broke into.
Along with stalking and video voyeurism charges, Grossman faces 11 charges of narcotics possession and burglary. Police said Grossman had several drugs in his possession when he was arrested, including marijuana, heroin, Ambien and Viagra.
