BOYS

■ James Evans had 19 points and six assists and Bryan Station held on to defeat visiting Franklin County 56-53 Thursday night. The Defenders led 46-28 late in the third quarter before the Flyers unleashed a 17-0 run to get within one point. That was as close as Franklin County would get. Brandon Jennels led the Flyers with 14 points.

■ Jaylen Beckham notched 22 points, nine rebounds, eight steals and five assists to lead No. 11 Lexington Catholic to a 69-56 home win over McCreary Central. Catholic committed just seven turnovers and won the points-off-turnovers column 23-8.

■ Senior guard Storm Burchett had 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead Clinton County to a 56-46 win at Monticello.

GIRLS

■ Sydney Moss, daughter of NFL star Randy Moss, tallied 32 points and 16 rebounds to help No. 9 Boone County hold off 16th-ranked Ryle for a 58-53 home victory.

■ Whitney Belle Jackson had 17 points and seven rebounds and played all 32 minutes in No. 20 Clay County's 47-46 home victory over No. 21 Lexington Catholic.

■ Junior guard Preshia Rogers scored 23 points to send Clark County to a 57-42 win at Anderson County for the Cardinals' fourth consecutive victory. Alex Botkin led the Knights with 15 points, nine rebounds and six steals.

■ Junior center Mary Mullins had 20 points and 18 rebounds to help give Madison Southern a 60-48 home victory over Model.
