The recently renovated Hilton Lexington/ Downtown Hotel will open its fine-dining restaurant, Triangle Grille, on March 1.
Executive chef Joshua Winslow has created a menu that features traditional and innovative dishes that will change seasonally.
The winter menu features fresh mussels steamed in Kentucky Ale; a grilled 10-ounce bone-in pork chop with chipotle sorghum glaze served over Kenny's Farmhouse Cheddar grits with green apple Woodford Reserve chutney; and a coriander-encrusted sea scallops dish with chive potato hash and sweet corn cream.
Lunch fare includes Bibb lettuce salad with seared jumbo tiger shrimp and pomegranate sorghum vinaigrette, and a grilled chicken breast topped with ham, sautéed Sheltowee Farms mushrooms and Kenny's cheese served on a fresh Sunrise Bakery roll.
Triangle Grille also will offer handmade desserts, including blueberry and Stoli vanilla vodka crème brûlée, coffee cake drizzled with chantilly cream, and a trio of seasonal house-made sorbets. Triangle Grille will be inside the hotel, at 369 West Vine Street. Call (859) 281-3773.
Bigger and better Good Foods
It's going to be Good Foods' biggest party in 38 years.
Good Foods Market and Café is celebrating the completion of a $1.5 million renovation with a grand reopening, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The Wi-Ri-enabled café has more seating, a coffee bar, and a bakery and kitchen that provide freshly baked pastries and breads, a hot and cold buffet, and a four-soup bar. A 12-foot section of healthy grab-and-go meals has been added, and a new cut-produce workroom is open in the grocery area.

Dinner and a movie night

Saturday is Free Pretzel Day at Auntie Anne's at Fayette Mall. Shoppers can pick up an original or cinnamon-sugar pretzel from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the store, which is near Dillard's. Beefed-up marketing
Louisville-based Texas Roadhouse received the National Beef Backer Award at the recent Cattle Industry Conference in San Antonio. The award recognizes chain and independent restaurant operators who excel in marketing beef. To celebrate, the restaurant will have a Beef, Brew and You party from 2 to 3 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Roadhouse location at 6460 Dutchmans Parkway in Louisville.
