To find its new executive director, the Lexington Public Library will return to the original pool of 32 job applicants, library spokesman Doug Tattershall said Friday. The library's favorite choice for the job — one of three finalists — unexpectedly declined the offer earlier this month. The library's search committee decided not to offer the position to either of the two remaining finalists, Tattershall said. It will reexamine some of the others who applied instead, he said.
