A Georgetown man was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison for driving drunk and causing a crash that killed his wife in 2008.

Larry Wayne Slucher II pleaded guilty last month to second-degree manslaughter and driving under the influence. He crashed a 2003 GMC Sonoma, killing Angela Lee Clark Slucher, 24.

Larry Slucher was driving more than 90 mph when he hit a tree and a rock embankment on the Newtown Pike exit of Interstate 75 in Lexington, according to court records. His blood alcohol level was 0.2, records indicated.

In addition to receiving five years in prison for the manslaughter charge, he also received a $200 fine, a $375 service fee and a 45-day license suspension for the DUI charge.
