Lexington is one of 10 finalists in a Kraft Foods national contest, the winner of which will receive a block party featuring country act Love And Theft and appearances by ABC soap opera actors.

Called the "Single Best Town" contest, the contest is a promotion for Kraft Singles cheese. The 10 finalists were chosen from 400 entries, organizers said in a news release. Through April 11, people are invited to vote for their town by visiting www.familyfun.com/best-town-contest.

Lexington, which was chosen because of its self-proclaimed status as Horse Capital of the World, is facing off against Augusta, Ga.; Bell Buckle, Tenn.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Gastonia, N.C.; Girard, Ill.; Hamburg, N.Y.; Richmond, Mich.; Three Lakes, Wis.; and Twinsburg, Ohio.
