The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games still needs general volunteers, especially from Kentucky. There will be 10,000 volunteers needed overall, handling everything from crowd control to parking to greeting visitors. Westfall to perform at ceremony

Champion rider and equine competitor Stacy Westfall will perform at the Games' opening ceremonies as she rides her champion horse, Roxy, without a saddle or bridle. Westfall, who has appeared on Ellen and is a YouTube sensation, will bring her champion reining horse, Whizards Baby Doll ("Roxy"), out of retirement to participate. For more information, go to www.alltechfeigames.com/tickets.

Casino included in festival

The International Equestrian Festival, the convention and trade show being set up at the Lexington Convention Center in downtown Lexington during the Games, will host a mini-casino during the two-week event.

The Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind., will sponsor an '80s-themed nightclub and classic movies. It also will offer entertainment from Hollywood Casino's Ultimate '70s and '80s-themed Boogie Nights nightclub. Packages will include luxury motor coach transportation between Lexington and the casino, and hotel accommodations. For more information, go to www.InternationalEquestrianFestival.com.
