Postponed, but no regrets

Perty by Thirty is going to be taking a detour. Even though I will be 30 in a month, I definitely will not be hitting my goal weight. That's all okay though, I will getting a better present in January 2011.

Hopefully around January 11, 2011 (because I like the date, 1/11/11), I will be the proud mother of a new baby!

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and we are thrilled. I do believe I have my 100 pound weight loss to thank for this baby.

We have our fabulous son, Hoss, who is 4 1/2 years old (5 in October...oh my word!) and we are thrilled we were blessed with him; however, we wanted to add one more to our family. After 3 years of trying we have finally been successful.

Of course, the pregnancy has not been without drama. However, a few extra blood tests and an early ultrasound have proven that everything is fine.

I'm exhausted and can barely keep my eyes open throughout the day, but so far no morning sickness!

I am determined to give breastfeeding another chance. My son did not do well with breastfeeding and I gave up early. This time I am focused on really giving it a shot. So, for those moms who were successful with breastfeeding, do you have recommendations for items I will need, like a breast pump (which will definitely be needed since I will be returning to work) and any books that may be helpful.

Plus, it has been nearly 5 years since I had a baby. What new items are out there that weren't when Hoss was born? I have already purchased a Bumbo seat for $5 at a yard sale, otherwise I'm lost.

Well, I think it is nap time. I will be sure to keep everyone updated on my pregnancy; however, I plan to post weekly on my personal website, so check that out as well.
