UK College of Dentistry to offer free dental screenings for kids

The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry will provide free dental screenings to help meet the new state-mandated law for new public school student enrollment.

The screenings will be provided at the following dates and locations:

—July 30 at Arlington Elementary, at its temporary location at 123 East Sixth Street, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for Arlington kindergarteners.

—Aug. 2 at Arlington Elementary from 2-4:30 p.m. for Arlington kindergarteners.

—Aug. 7 at Duncan Park, 530 North Limestone from 10 a.m.-noon, open to any child entering kindergarten.

New Kentucky student requirements require a legal birth certificate, Kentucky certification of immunization and proof of preventive health care examination within one year before entry into the school program.
