Life Lessons for Life's Little Detours

Posted by MeganSmith on September 12, 2010

I picked up a book at the library this weekend that I just can't put down. I love words of wisdom ~ Proverbs is one of my favorite books in the Bible ~ and this book, written by a columnist from Cleveland, is just right up my alley.
God Never Blinks ~ 50 Lessons for Life's Little Detours ~ is just that...50 amazing nuggets that we all should know and keep close to our hearts.
This week I'll share 10 of them a day. I highly suggest you pick up a copy to read. The author has taken a chapter to delve deeper into each lesson. She writes with such wit, humor, sensitivity and honesty.

Lesson 1 ~ Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
Lesson 2 ~ When in doubt, just take the next right step.
Lesson 3 ~ Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
Lesson 4 ~ Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
Lesson 5 ~ Pay off your credit cards every month.
Lesson 6 ~ You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
Lesson 7 ~ Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
Lesson 8 ~ It's ok to get angry with God. He can take it.
Lesson 9 ~ The most important sex organ is the brain.
Lesson 10~ God never gives us more than we were designed to carry.
