A Paris man who was shot in the head in Lexington on Sunday has died.

Jerry Waugh, 29, was pronounced dead at 2 a.m. Monday at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, according to a coroner's report.

Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

Waugh and another man were found about 4:30 p.m. in a car on Kenton Street between Fourth and Fifth streets. Police reports list the other victim as Jerrod Vice, 27. Both men were taken to UK Chandler Hospital Sunday evening.

Vice was in serious condition Monday morning.

Both men had been shot in the head, police said. It's not clear which man was driving.

The car was stopped in the road and the driver of the car was screaming for help, Roberts said. Neighborhood residents called police.

Lt. Chris Van Brackel said it appeared that the two had been shot elsewhere and had driven to Kenton Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lexington police at (859) 258-3600.
