A man shot and killed his wife, then turned the pistol on himself in the grocery store where she worked in the Meta community of Pike County on Monday, state police said.
Police said they found the couple, Jeanetta Leedy, 38, and Jimmy Leedy, 44, when they responded to a call about a possible armed robbery in progress at the Johns Creek Grocery on Bent Branch Road at 6:42 a.m.
Jimmy and Jeanetta Leedy were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Trooper Shaun Little said he did not know the motive for the shooting.
