Cameron Thomas' 355 rushing yards and four touchdowns weren't enough for East Jessamine.
Amoh Kumengisa led a fourth-quarter scoring frenzy with two big runs, and Lexington Catholic rallied for a 46-40 win at East Jessamine Friday night.
The teams combined for 36 points in the final period, but it was the Knights (4-4) who struck last on Kumengisa's 31-yard touchdown run with a minute to go, snapping a four-game win streak for the Jaguars (6-2).
The sophomore running back traded big plays with Jaguars junior Thomas all quarter.
After Adam Bush put Catholic up 32-26 with an 8-yard touchdown reception from Kyle Bolin, Thomas rumbled for 73 yards and a one-point lead.
Then Kumengisa found the end zone from 48 yards out with just less than nine minutes to play and put Catholic up 39-33.
But Thomas answered at 2:34 with a 47-yard run to put the Jaguars ahead by one again before Kumengisa's late heroics.
Kumengisa finished with 135 yards on the ground. Bolin threw for 160 yards and a touchdown and ran for 68 with a 53-yard score.
