Konnor Vasilko ran for 157 yards and a late touchdown that helped pad Lexington Catholic's lead in a 27-19 victory against visiting Harrison County in the Class 4A football playoffs.
In a game that was close throughout, Kyle Bolin ran for a pair of Knights TDs early and a blocked extra point near the end of the third quarter kept Catholic in front 20-19.
Joe Karona threw three TD passes for Harrison County.
Class 6A
No. 13 Henry Clay 32, Conner 20: Host Henry Clay scored all five of its touchdowns on the ground, capped by the second of the night by Vinny Miller with 3:40 to play.
Bo Brooks led the Blue Devils with 137 rushing yards. Miller had 97 and Blake Green had 65, including two TDs from 29 and 26 yards out.
No. 6 Simon Kenton 23, Tates Creek 13: The Commodores kept it close, but a 20-yard fumble return by Derek Mills sealed the victory for Simon Kenton.
Tates Creek quarterback Martrell Berry and Austin Crutcher connected twice for their team's two scores.
No. 14 Scott Co. 41, Nelson Co. 0: The host Cardinals scored 34 of their points in the second quarter. Ben Lawler threw a 72-yard TD to James Happy and a 9-yard score to Josh Walls. Lawler also had a 1-yard TD run.
No. 4 Ryle 54, Madison Central 13: Travis Elliott ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns and Conner Hempel threw TD passes in Ryle's victory at home. Jamez Chenault had 112 rushing yards and scored two TDs for Madison Central.
Central Hardin 41, Bryan Station 21: Tristan Long returned two interceptions for scores and added a pair of receiving TDs in Central Hardin's defeat of visiting Bryan Station. Long ran for 80 yards and had 83 yards on eight catches. Patrick Puckett had a pair of TD passes for the Defenders.
Meade Co. 41, Paul Dunbar 16: Host Meade County used a 22-yard TD run and 66-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Rex Liverman to pull away in the second half. Liverman, who ran for 84 yards, also scored a TD in the first half.
Dunbar QB Blake Martin scored both of his team's touchdowns on short runs.
No. 1 Trinity 55, No. 22 PRP 6: The top-ranked Shamrocks trailed 6-0 after one quarter but went on to rout Pleasure Ridge Park at home.
Derek Bishop ran for 215 yards and three touchdowns, Dalyn Dawkins added 115 rushing yards and two scores, and Travis Wright threw for 213 yards and three TDs.
Class 5A
Clay Co. 62, Lincoln Co. 22: John Wilson ran for 113 yards and three TDs, and Noah Reid had 105 rushing yards and a pair of TDs in host Clay County's victory.
Class 4A
Bell Co. 52, Boyd Co. 0: John Dudley Hilton ran for 106 yards, including a 4-yard score, and had 10 tackles in host Bell County's rout of Boyd County.
Collins 56, Breckinridge Co. 6: Brandon Cresap threw three TD passes in host Collins' victory.
Class 3A
Elizabethtown 8, Western Hills 3: Kyle Todd threw a 30-yard TD pass to Mitchell Henry early in the first quarter and Elizabethtown's lone score held up in a home victory.
Russell 27, Pike Central 21: Visiting Pike Central used a pair of TD passes and a TD run by quarterback Allan Boggs to gain a 21-7 lead at halftime, but Russell used its ground attack to rally for the victory.
Joel Korzep, who had 189 rushing yards, put Russell ahead early with a 36-yard TD run, and his two short scores early in the third cut the Hawks' lead to 21-19. A 2-yard score by Zach Thompson, followed by a two-point conversion, completed the comeback.
Breathitt Co. 53, Wayne Co. 26: Richard Trent gained 203 yards on 17 carries and scored four touchdowns in Breathitt County's win at home. Devin Sloan had 174 rushing yards and three scores for Wayne County.
Class A
Lexington Christian 50, Berea 20: The Eagles scored all of their points in the first half, taking a 50-0 lead en route to a victory at home. Lexington Christian's Scout McCamy had two TD passes and a TD run.
Hazard 64, Allen Central 6: Jon Combs threw five touchdown passes and ran for another score in a home victory for undefeated Hazard (11-0). Two of Combs' TD passes were to Jordan Olinger, who also had a 42-yard interception return for a score.
Frankfort 47, Bishop Brossart 0: Dylan Quinn threw for 159 yards and three TDs and Joseph Morgan ran for 124 yards and two scores for host Frankfort. Zack Mason added 109 rushing yards, a 2-yard TD run and a 70-yard kickoff return for a score.
