Lightning-rod former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will sign her latest book early next month at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington.
Palin, a Fox News commentator and former Alaska governor, will sign America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag (HarperCollins, $29.95) on Dec. 1. The book hits the street Nov. 23.
The book includes "her reflections on faith, family and patriotism," according to a press release from HarperCollins, and "will read like a bible of American virtues for anyone hoping to understand the truths that lie at the heart of the nation."
Palin's first book, Going Rogue, was the best-selling non-fiction book of 2009, the publisher said.
Joseph-Beth made the Palin announcement late Thursday, the same day that its Cincinnati-based parent company filed for bankruptcy protection.
For the Lexington event, line tickets will be required and will be available only with the purchase of America by Heart at Joseph-Beth, in the The Mall at Lexington Green. Pre-sale vouchers for the book will be available at the store beginning Tuesday and will include a line ticket.
Palin will autograph her book but she will not personalize it, a Joseph-Beth news release said. There will be no posed photographs and no memorabilia signed.
Palin's Lexington stop is in the latter half of a book tour that has her concentrating on America's heartland. It starts Nov. 23 in Phoenix and ends Dec. 3 in Cincinnati and Columbia, S.C.
The book is just one of the ways that Palin will be in the public eye this fall. On Sunday, her eight-part reality series Sarah Palin's Alaska premieres on TLC.
