Only one airport in Kentucky has the new advanced imaging technology known as "body scan" technology: Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International airport, according to a list from the Transportation Safety Administration.

The new scanners are intended to improve security on airplanes by detecting metal and non-metal material underneath clothing. The imaging technology screening is optional for all passengers. Passengers who do not wish to receive imaging technology screening will receive alternative screening, including a physical pat-down, according to the TSA.
