A man charged in the deaths of two former girlfriends has been indicted on a charge of raping one of the alleged victims, according to court records in Harrison County.

Bass Webb, 31, was indicted Tuesday on a charge of first-degree rape. He is accused of sexually assaulting Bryia Runiewicz, 32.

Webb is charged with murder in the slaying of Runiewicz, who was found dead in her home in Cynthiana on July 31, 2009. Webb also was charged with being a persistent felony offender. He is scheduled to appear in Harrison Circuit Court for an arraignment on Dec. 21.

Webb's attorney, Tom Griffiths of the Department of Public Advocacy's Lexington office, said Runiewicz and Webb were a couple and lived together. He said there was no evidence of rape.

Webb also is charged in the death of former girlfriend Sabrina Marie Vaughn in Montgomery County. Vaughn was reported missing in 2003.
