Kentucky State Police at Morehead have charged two people in the death of a Wolfe County man.

Relatives found the body of the victim, Robert E. Bryant, 44, at his residence on Tolson Cemetery Road at Campton about 11:30 p.m. Friday, state police said.

Charged with one count of murder each in the case are Lloyd Bryant Jr., 36, of Campton, a cousin of the victim, and Rebecca Wright, 34, of the Rogers community in Wolfe County.

Wright is described as Lloyd Bryant's girlfriend. The two also are charged with first-degree robbery; first-degree burglary; and tampering with physical evidence, state police said.

Troopers said the suspects were being held at the Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville on unrelated charges when the additional charges related to Robert Bryant's death were filed.

State police said they received a call from the Wolfe County Sheriff's Department Friday night stating that family members had reported finding Robert Bryant's body at his residence.

According to a report by WLEX-TV, Robert Bryant's daughter, Andrea Bryant, had tried to call her father several times over four days. When she got no answer, she, her fiance and her fiance's father went to Robert Bryant's home Friday night, kicked open the door and found him lying in a pool of blood.

His throat had been cut, according to WLEX.
