Boys

■ Scott Schuette went 5-for-9 from three-point range and scored 21 points as Lexington Catholic, ranked fifth in Dave Cantrall's Rating the State, cruised to a 68-42 win against visiting Lexington Christian.

Patrick Keller added 13 points, and Brian Woomer had nine points, eight assists and five rebounds for the Knights.

The Eagles struggled from the field, hitting just 12 of their 46 attempts. Taylor Barnette was their only player in double figures with 14 points to go with five rebounds. Gal Tesler and Tyler Harville added nine apiece.

■ Ray Brewer scored off an assist from Reid Freeman with 1:25 left and that proved to be the game-winner for host Sayre in a 47-45 decision against Berea. Mike Smith led the Spartans with 20 points and five steals, and Brewer had eight points, five rebounds and three blocked shots. The Pirates' Barry Scudderdavis hit seven of 11 shots to finish with 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

Madison Central's Brenton Covington hit the game-winning three-pointer with under a minute to go in a 65-62 victory at Bryan Station. Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 21 points and Covington had 12. Larry Morton scored 22 for the Defenders.

Lafayette outscored Paul Dunbar 22-5 in the third quarter en route to a 63-48 victory on the road. Dee Yarbrough led the way with 22 points and Jackson Davis had 12 points, 14 rebounds and three blocked shots. Clay Coyle scored 16 points and Lamont Johnson had 13 rebounds for the Bulldogs.

■ Daryian Frazier scored 17 points and Doryian Frazier had 16 to lead Frankfort to a 63-56 win at Franklin County. The Flyers outscored the Panthers 27-8 in the first quarter, but Frankfort turned the tables with a 23-4 advantage in the second.

■ A pair of double-doubles — 10 points and 11 rebounds from Corey Rogers and 10 points and 10 rebounds from Adam Fatkin — helped No. 7 Clark County roll to an 80-28 home win against Bourbon County. Jaylen Daniel scored a game-high 16 points for the Cardinals.

■ Clay Cinnamon scored 30 points to go with nine rebounds and four assists in Mercer County's 73-58 victory at West Jessamine. Aaron Lee added 18 points and five rebounds, and Mathew Honchel had 13 points and five boards. The Colts were led by Chase Fain's 13 points and six rebounds. Dylan Pohl had 10 points and 12 rebounds.

■ Sawyer Denniston, a junior guard, went 20-for-26 from the field and 11-for-15 from the line to score 52 points in Wolfe County's 73-69 win against visiting Menifee County. Denniston also had 13 rebounds and four steals.

Madison Southern's Aaron Ponder scored 32 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 69-58 win against visiting North Laurel. Ponder hit five three-pointers and went 7-for-7 from the free-throw line.

■ Mitchell Henry dominated, scoring 33 points and grabbing 17 rebounds in Elizabethtown's 91-61 defeat of visiting Fort Knox. The Panthers controlled the boards, outrebounding the Eagles 45-23.

■ Remy Abell scored 14 points in No. 3 Eastern's 66-46 victory against visiting Male.

■ No. 9 Moore's Deondre McWhorter had 10 points and 13 rebounds in a 68-41 victory against visiting Waggener.

■ Jake Thelen's game-high 25 points lifted No. 18 Covington Catholic to a 61-48 win at Highlands.

Girls

Lafayette got a triple-double from Shomari Kendrick in a 48-31 victory at Paul Dunbar.

Kendrick went 8-for-14 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line to score 21 points to go with 16 rebounds and 10 blocked shots. Jeriana Gillespie added six points, eight assists and seven steals for the Lady Generals.

Paul Dunbar was led by Lakeena Parks, who had 10 points and seven rebounds. Jordin Fender added six points, five rebounds and four steals.

Woodford County's Catie Fletcher scored 23 points, including three three-pointers in a 64-46 home win against Tates Creek. The junior guard was 8-for-15 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line. Taylor Kelly added 16 points and 10 assists. Peyton Hisel scored 14 points and Oney Harrison had 12 for Tates Creek.

Montgomery County used a 14-0 run in the third quarter to surge to a win at Paris 72-56. Paris' Morgan Crain scored a game-high 21 points and had 17 rebounds. Macie Spence scored 19 for Montgomery County.

■ Rachel Marr hit a tying three-pointer with 30 seconds left in regulation and Green County (2-12) went on to a surprising 55-50 victory against visiting Adair County (10-3). Marr finished with 24 points.

Franklin County's Ashli Mayes, a junior forward, had 22 points, 16 rebounds, four assists and four steals in a 60-32 win against visiting Frankfort.

■ Angie Lawrence and Sara Hammond scored 18 and 16 points, respectively, to lead No. 5 Rockcastle County to a 61-26 home win against Somerset.

■ MacKenzie Cann scored a game-high 20 points in Anderson County's 55-26 loss at Henry Clay. Sydney Dunham led the Lady Devils with nine points.
