The Mountain Association for Community Economic Development has launched an initiative called the Kentucky Center for Economic Policy.

The center plans to "strengthen public decision making by providing solid information and analysis on important issues facing the state," according to a news release from its leaders.

The launch of the center and its Web site at Kypolicy.org includes a report examining how the end of federal stimulus money could present budget challenges for the state.
