Paducah Tilghman football coach Randy Wyatt says star wide receiver Josh Forrest is still committed to signing with Kentucky in a few weeks, despite reports that he plans to visit Central Florida.

"I talked to Josh last night and he's 110 percent committed to Kentucky, no doubt at all," Wyatt said Thursday.

"If he's going to Central Florida, it's for a vacation. It's not even remotely possible for him to attend Central Florida. People get on those blogs and make stuff up and it spreads like wildfire."

Wyatt said UK's coaches have told him the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Forrest has a chance to play as a freshman.

Wyatt said Forrest still must get some work done in the classroom to qualify to play as a freshman at UK, by either getting his grades up in core classes or improving his ACT score. "He's real close. I think he'll do it," Wyatt said.

Forrest helped Tilghman win the Class 3A state title as a junior, and led the Tornado to the semifinals last fall.

Over the last two seasons Forrest had 77 catches for 1,481 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also had 14 interceptions.
