Lexington Mayor Jim Gray has added six members to the Arena, Arts and Entertainment District Task Force to study the redevelopment of the Lexington Center complex.

Appointed to the planning and design committee were Tom Cheek, an architect; Chris Young, a manager at Overbrook Farm; Bill Henkel, owner of Henkel-Denmark landscaping; and Bill Lear, an attorney.

Two were added to the Need and Use panel: Linda Carroll, president of the Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation, and Steve Grossman, a senior vice president of Hilliard Lyons. Ron Carmicle, chairman of the Kentucky State Fair Board, which manages the new KFC Yum Center in Louisville, has resigned from the task force, bringing the total number of members to 47.
