Those arrested were Jeffery L. McClain, 25, of Thornton; Dustin I. Yeary, 26, of Mayking; and Katie Larue, 27, of Whitesburg, police said in a news release.
The attempted robbery was reported at 3 p.m. Friday. A postal employee gave a detailed description of the man who attempted the robbery and a license plate number of the vehicle driven from the scene. All three were lodged in the Letcher County jail. State police said they continue to investigate the incident.
