Lexington Traffic report for the week of April 18

SPECIAL NOTES

Todds Road/Ky. 1927 will be closed in Lexington between mile point 4.0 (Todds Station) and mile point 5.0 (Pricetown Road) from 8 a.m. Monday through 8 a.m. April 25, for culvert work. The suggested alternate route for motorists going to Clark County is to take U.S. 60/Winchester Road to Ky. 1973/North Cleveland Road. For motorists coming from Clark County, the alternate is the reverse.

The Division of Traffic Engineering installed three-way stop signs and pavement markings at the intersection of Forest Hill Drive and Gingermill Lane on Friday. Motorists should use caution while traffic adapts to the changes.

SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT

There could be a rolling blockage in the right southbound lane of Sir Barton Way between Winchester Road and Old Rosebud Lane through April 29, for streetlight installation.

The parking and right through lane of East Maxwell Street will be blocked between Rose Street and Woodland Avenue through June 7, to rebuild the curb and sidewalk. There will be no blockage during rush hours.

MODERATE TRAFFIC IMPACT

The sidewalk and right lane of East Main Street will be blocked between Elm Tree Lane and North Martin Luther King Boulevard through May 15, for work on the streetscape project.

On Tuesday, the left-most lane of East Main Street will be blocked between Esplanade and South Martin Luther King Boulevard (in front of the Urban County Government Center) to locate a gas line for the streetscape project. The streetscape work currently being done in the right lanes will be suspended until the left lane reopens.

The right inbound lane of North Martin Luther King Boulevard will be blocked between Barr Street and Pleasant Stone Street from Tuesday through April 26, for utility work.

One lane at a time of Stephens Lane will be closed 24 hours a day between Winterberry Drive and Pine Bloom Drive through Sunday to repair a sewer line. Traffic will be maintained in both directions.

The storage lane of West Main Street will be blocked through July 18 while Triangle Park is renovated.

There will be a rolling blockage in the northbound lane of Winterberry Drive between Stephens Lane and Oleander Drive through April 27, to repair the sewer line.

There will be periodic lane blockages on Wellington Way between Buckingham Lane and Arrowhead Drive through Friday to replace a culvert.
