Two Letcher County men have been arrested in connection with several copper thefts in the area, and a third man is being sought, the Kentucky State Police said Wednesday.
James D. Warren, 54, and Preston Halcomb, 22, both of Blackey, were arrested and charged with receiving more than $500 of stolen property.
An investigation led police to a scrap yard in Letcher County that had received more than two tons of copper from three individuals, a news release said.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the third individual, the release said.
Police did not provide details on where the copper came from.
