One victim of Boyle crash remains in critical condition

June 3, 2011

The survivors of Tuesday's two-vehicle crash in Boyle County remained hospitalized Thursday at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Conner Padgett, 7, has improved to serious condition, while his brother, Chase, also 7, remained in critical condition, the spokeswoman said. Their mother, Stefanie Padgett, 38, of Junction City, was listed in fair condition.

Madelyn Oblisk, a daughter born April 22 to Stefanie Padgett, also was listed in fair condition Thursday.

Another girl, McKenna Padgett, 7, died Tuesday after the crash on Ky. 34 in Danville, police said. She was among the set of triplets born to Stefanie Padgett.

Stefanie Padgett was driving eastbound when she lost control of her van, which went into the westbound lane, colliding with another van. The driver of that van was treated at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
