A California man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Powell County Thursday, state police said in a news release.

Kyle William Wolfe, 20, of Pleasanton, Calif., was driving south on Ky. 15 when, according to witnesses, he passed a vehicle on a curve, state police said.

Wolfe lost control of his motorcycle, ran off the road and hit a guardrail, police said.

The wreck, reported at 9:21 p.m., happened about two miles south of Stanton, police said.
