Frankfort police charge suspect in afternoon Holmes Street robbery

A Frankfort man was charged with robbery after a car, cell phone and wallet was taken from a 20-year-old waiting for a friend on Holmes Street.

Louis D. Wideman, 23, was taken to the Franklin County Regional Jail after the Saturday robbery.

Hunter Kays , 20, also of Frankfort, told police he was waiting on Holmes about 3:30 p.m. when the suspect pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at him and demanded he empty his pockets.

The suspect took Kays' cell phone and wallet with cash and credit cards. Kays left the scene in Kays' car, a 2005 Nissan Altima.
