Georgetown man arrested on meth charges

State police on Wednesday arrested John H. Wall, 39, of Georgetown, on charges of making methamphetamine, according to a news release.

State police responded at 10 a.m. to a complaint of a meth lab at 115 Warrendale Drive in Georgetown.

Police arrested Wall after detectives found precursors for making meth at the home. Wall was charged with first degree manufacturing methamphetamine and lodged in the Scott County Regional Jail.

From January to May this year, police received reports of 565 meth labs, up from 426 during the same time last year, according to the release. As of Wednesday, a total of 600 meth labs had been reported this year.
