The University of Kentucky is again offering its certificate in business administration program, which begins in September at UK's Gatton College of Business and Economics.

The program, which is geared to people without business backgrounds, features faculty and guest speakers from the college. Topics covered in the 10-session period include marketing essentials, conflict and negotiation in organizations, and accounting and financial decision-making.

The CBA is offered on Thursday evenings, three hours a session, from Sept. 8 through Nov. 17. Those who attend all of the sessions will earn 27.5 course hours of continuing-education credit and a certificate of completion.

Registration is $888, although a discounted rate of $800 is available through Aug. 1. The registration fee for UK students and employees is $750. To learn more, go to Gatton.uky.edu/eec and click on "programs."
