Central Kentuckians will have an opportunity to dine with three James Beard Award-nominated chefs on Aug. 20.
Woodford Reserve's Woodford in the Kitchen's guest chef series will feature the distillery's chef-in-residence, Ouita Michel; Jonathan Lundy, chef/owner of Jonathan at Gratz Park; and Jacob Sessoms, chef/owner of Table in Asheville, N.C.

■ Pine Mountain Settlement School holds a special place in the hearts of Heirloom Restaurant's owner and his father.
Mark and Henry Wombles are setting aside Thursday night at the Midway restaurant at 125 Main Street to raise money for the school in Harlan County.

■ Akielo Temple, No. 128 Daughters of the Nile, is having its annual all-you-can-eat corn-boil dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday. It will be at Oleika Shrine Center, 326 Southland Drive. ■ Eli Kirshtein, a contestant from season 6 of Bravo's Top Chef, will work with three of Louisville's top chefs to serve a four-course dinner Tuesday.
Kirshtein will join Seviche chef/ owner Anthony Lamas; pastry chef Andrea Litvin; and Bobby Benjamin, executive chef of The Oakroom at the Seelbach Hilton hotel, for the dinner, which will be in Seviche's newly renovated private dining room.

■ Anglers' Cove Restaurant at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park in Greenup will have its first international classic-cuisine Hawaiian luau from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The menu includes catfish; sesame-crusted mahi-mahi; Shoyu chicken with pineapple stuffing; and lau lau, a Hawaiian dish of pork wrapped in taro leaves. The cost is $14.99.
