Kentucky football adds 2012 commitment from Alabama defensive back

Published: August 12, 2011

Jacoby Glenn, a defensive back from Alabama, has committed to play football for the University of Kentucky in 2012.

"I just liked Kentucky," Glenn told the Mobile Press-Register in Alabama. "I've liked them for a long time and just made up my mind and committed."

Glenn, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback from Vigor High School, reportedly chose Kentucky over Mississippi State, Memphis and Jacksonville State.

Glenn said his choice was influenced by the fact that his former high school teammate, defensive back Eric Dixon, is a freshman at UK.

"That's my homeboy," Glenn told the Press-Register.

Huzzie on Murray roster

Former UK linebacker Qua Huzzie didn't take long to find a new home. The 5-foot-10 sophomore from LaGrange, Ga., is on Murray State's most recent roster. Coach Joker Phillips announced Huzzie's departure from UK on Wednesday.

Huzzie was hampered by injuries during much of his time at UK. He played in eight games, getting 17 tackles, including one for a loss, last season.
