Richmond police search for bank robber

Richmond police are looking for a man who robbed at gunpoint the U.S. Bank branch on East Main Street shortly after noon on Tuesday.

The robber left through the bank's rear door with an undisclosed amount of cash, Richmond police said in a news release.

The robber is described as having sandy hair and slight facial hair. He is approximately 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, of medium build, and in his 30s or 40s. He wore a green shirt, khaki pants and a black hat with a logo on the front, police said.
