Taylorsville man indicted in crash that killed bicyclist

A Taylorsville man has been indicted on a manslaughter charge in connection with a crash that killed a bicyclist last year.

Daryl Fogel, 38, was indicted by a Spencer County grand jury for second-degree manslaughter, according to a news release from the Kentucky State Police.

Fogel was driving east of Taylorsville on Ky. 248 last Sept. 30 when he hit Paul Pegram, 36, of Taylorsville, who was riding a bicycle. Pegram, an officer with the Louisville Metro Police Department, died of injuries sustained in the crash.

Fogel was issued a summons to appear in court on Oct. 6.
