PetSmart Charities and the Lexington Humane Society will unveil a new pet adoption center at 10 a.m. Saturday in the PetSmart store at 1945 Pavilion Way.

For the past year, the Humane Society has had a small space in a corner of the store where animals could be adopted. This will be the seventh, free-standing adoption center constructed by PetSmart Charities in the United States, said Madison Carey, director of development for the Lexington Humane Society.

The center will be staffed seven days a week by a Society adoption specialist.

All animals up for adoption have been spayed or neutered and are up-to-date on all their shots.
