The Lexingtons shut down the Jessamines in the 42nd District semifinals at Lexington Catholic on Monday night. Lexington Christian defeated East Jessamine 25-7, 25-19, and Lexington Catholic beat West Jessamine 25-19, 25-8.
The 42nd title match is Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Defending district and region volleyball champion Henry Clay begins post-season play Tuesday night.
The Blue Devils, rated No. 6 in the state, face Paul Laurence Dunbar at 6 p.m. in the opening game of the 43rd District tournament at Lafayette. The second match has No. 16 Lafayette going against No. 17 Tates Creek at 7:30.
The finals are Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
The 44th District semifinals are at Madison Southern Tuesday, with Bryan Station playing Berea at 6 p.m. and Madison Central playing Madison Southern at 7:30.
The 44th finals are Thursday at 7 p.m.
District winners and runners-up advance to the 11th Region tournament at Henry Clay.
