Lexington, Clark named among the '100 Best Communities for Young People'

October 13, 2011

Lexington and Clark County were named among the Kentucky cities and counties listed in the "100 Best Communities for Young People" by America's Promise Alliance and the financial institution ING.

It was the fifth time that Lexington has received the honor, and the second time for Clark County.

The recognition, announced Wednesday, highlights the continued focus "to help young people achieve their potential, which includes earning a high school diploma, securing a good job, and playing an active, productive role in America's economic vitality."

Barren County, Louisville and Paducah were the other Kentucky communities that also made the list.
