The wife of a Clay County constable charged with illegally selling pain pills plans to plead guilty.
Jennifer L. Roberts' attorney filed a motion this week seeking a hearing for her to admit guilt.
Police arrested Roberts and her husband, Jackie "The Tireman" Roberts, in July after they both allegedly sold pills to an informant.
Roberts also is charged with possession of a gun by a convicted felon. He was convicted of robbery and assault before being elected constable, according to a court record.
Jackie Roberts denies distributing drugs or illegally possessing a gun, his attorney said in a court document.
Roberts is scheduled to go on trial next week.
