If you're a Kentucky fan, this is the time of the year when you need a really good calendar.
Or a case of Red Bull.
This is the punishing three-week period in which Kentucky football intersects with Kentucky basketball and Kentucky women's basketball, and the early basketball signing period, which should be careful not to distract us from Kentucky volleyball.
Did we mention UK women's soccer plays host to an NCAA Tournament game Saturday night?
It began Wednesday with the opening day of the national signing period. Coach John Calipari signed Willie Cauley Wednesday and is expected to lock in Archie Goodwin on Tuesday, all with the public scouring for more names the UK coach will ink.
Then Friday night, the UK men and UK women each raise the curtains for real. Matthew Mitchell takes his UK hoopsters back to where he cut his head-coaching teeth, Morehead State. Calipari welcomes Marist to Rupp Arena for a friendly Friday night barbecue.
About 15 hours after the final horn sounds at Rupp, the UK football team kicks off against the new and improved Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville. Both teams harbor bowl ambitions, though the planned path to the post-season for each includes a victory over the other.
That same Saturday night, the most interesting UK coach you probably don't know, Jon Lipsitz, matches his women's soccer team against visiting Washington State in the NCAA Tournament. Lipsitz grew a pre-season beard — a delightful development that prompted the Twitter feed @JonLipsitzsBeard. He wears a suit on the sideline. And, oh by the way, he can coach.
Once everyone has recovered from the weekend, the UK women take to the court at 11 a.m. Tuesday for their home opener against Jacksonville State, sans Washaun Ealey. On the very same day, Calipari takes his men to New York.
Madison Square Garden will be the site for Tuesday night's Champions Classic. Kansas is UK's headliner opponent once Michigan State and Duke complete the night's opening act.
In lieu of returning to the Bluegrass, the Cats continue on to Connecticut for the Saturday-Sunday twin-bill games at the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, as part of the Hall of Fame Tipoff Classic.
The Saturday game against Penn State presents an if-only-we-could-clone conflict for Big Blue Nation. The basketball game tips at noon. The UK football team kicks off against Georgia in Athens at 12:21 p.m. that same day.
As a public service, try not to relay the basketball score to any UK fan you might encounter that day. He or she might be trying to make it to the 7 p.m. televised replay, what with the live game being relegated to "streaming" on ESPN3.
Did we mention that UK women's basketball plays host to Southern Miss that same day, at 3 p.m. no less?
And, oh yes, nearly forgot, the night before, Friday the 18th, Craig Skinner's UK volleyball team returns home to play Louisiana State.
FYI: Kentucky volleyball is 13-2 in the SEC, a game behind first-place Tennessee in the East, and ranked 13th nationally. The Cats beat the Vols at Memorial on Oct. 12, and the two meet again in the regular-season finale on Wednesday, Nov. 23, in Knoxville.
That's three days before the Tennessee football team comes to Lexington to try to extend its 26-year winning streak over the ever-hopeful Big Blue.
The following Saturday, Dec. 3, the Kentucky men's basketball team plays host to No. 1 North Carolina in a game that, for some crazy reason, has already generated quite a bit of interest.
We shall all be exhausted by then.
