If it's nightlife or Thai food you crave, here are two new places to visit.
■ Trust Lounge, 123 West Main Street, is a multilevel lounge in the former Phoenix Bank building, which has been restored and features state-of-the-art lighting and sound.
Trust offers vintage wine, handcrafted cocktails and aged bourbon. There is a dress code: "Doorman discretion at all times. No effort, no entry," says Trust's Web site, Trustlex.com.

According to a Herald-Leader report, the building, built at the turn of the 20th century for Third National Bank, was previously occupied by tenants as diverse as S. Bassett & Sons, Angelucci & Ringo Tailors, New Way Boot Shop, Fashion Express, Vertigo night club and The Phoenix bar.
■ Baan Isaan Thai Gourmet opened last month at 115 North Locust Hill Drive.
Baan is a Thai word meaning "house" and Isaan is the region of Thailand from which the food derives, co-owner Jonathan Weiss said. "The special cuisine originates from the people of the northeastern region of Thailand, including Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Koen Khen and Korat. My wife (Mia) is from this region and prepares every dish herself," he said.
The menu includes moo yang (roasted pork served with prick naam chim sauce), yam neua (seared rump steak with pepper, lemon and mint sauce), coconut beef with red curry, and fried beef in oyster sauce. Call (859) 309-0534 or go to Baanisaan.net.

■ In 1991, Gene and Natasha Williams opened a small café on Southland Drive that served Russian food and Turkish coffee. Twenty years — and a move to downtown — later, Natasha's Bistro & Bar is a popular restaurant and performance space.

■ Former NFL star Babe Parilli will sign copies of his book, Kentucky Babe, from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at Casanova Restaurant, 855 South Broadway. Parilli, a cousin of Casanova owner Leonardo Capezzuto, was an all-America quarterback for the University of Kentucky under Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. He played in the pros for the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers and Oakland Raiders. Capezzuto will give a restaurant gift certificate with every book purchase.
■ Akielo Temple Daughters of the Nile Marching Patrol will have a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Oleika Shrine Center, 326 Southland Drive. Tickets are $7, $4 for children 10 and younger. The menu includes spaghetti with meat sauce, mixed salad, garlic bread, dessert and drink.
■ Bogart's at The Campbell House is having a toy drive for the holidays. There's a $5 cover charge on the weekend, but admission is free during November if you bring an unwrapped toy.
