First quarter
Summary: Maxwell Smith opened the game with a 16-yard screen pass, then hit Matt Roark for 46 yards. UK went up 3-0. Georgia threatened on its first two possessions but was held to one field goal. A Smith interception set up Georgia's second field goal.
Thumbs up: UK's offense came out gambling; defense with energy.
Thumbs down: Another drive was stopped by a third-down drop (Gene McCaskill).
Second quarter
Summary: A Taiedo Smith fumble recovery set up a TD pass to Tyler Robinson. A punt to the UK 1 resulted in UGA getting the ball at the UK 23. UK held UGA to a field goal. UGA recovered an Ashely Lowery fumble at the UK 30 but the defense held UGA to a field goal again.
Thumbs up: Big shout-out to the UK defense (124 Georgia yards).
Thumbs down: More drops (La'Rod King) and a special-teams fumble.
Third quarter
Summary: Randall Burden stopped a UGA drive with a pick in the end zone. Next drive, Winston Guy recovered UGA fumble at own 40. UK offense gained 2 yards in period, then Smith lost a fumble at his own 10 near the end of the quarter.
Thumbs up: It's been awhile since a Kentucky defense came up this big.
Thumbs down: Facing third-and-1 early in quarter, UK had to use a timeout — then lost a yard.
Fourth quarter
Summary: Georgia went up 19-10 on the first play of the fourth quarter. The UK offense struggled as UGA began to dominate the line of scrimmage. Less than three minutes remained before UK got a first down in the half. The Cats never threatened to make it close.
Thumbs up: Danny Trevathan and the Kentucky defense kept it close.
Thumbs down: The Kentucky offense did not help the cause.
