A Lexington man was arrested Sunday on a fugitive warrant from California charging him with murder, according to court documents.

Norris Devis Terrell, 21, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service at an apartment on Lakeshore Drive. He apparently had been living at a home on Harry Street, according to Fayette District Court files.

A National Crime Information Center report listed the offense as homicide and the origin of the warrant as Oakland, Calif.

Details about the homicide were not available in court documents. A spokesperson from the Oakland Police Department did not immediately return a message for comment.

Terrell is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond pending an extradition hearing.
