Trooper injured in Richmond crash

A Kentucky State Police trooper was injured in a two-car crash in Richmond early Sunday. According to a news release, Trooper Josh Brewer was traveling on U.S. 25 in Richmond when his car was stuck by a 2001 Chevrolet S-10 truck driven by Conrad Taylor, 28, of Richmond.

Brewer was responding to an emergency call around 1 a.m. with lights and siren on, according to a preliminary investigation by state police. The collision is under investigation.

Taylor was uninjured; Brewer was taken to Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center for treatment. Both were wearing seat belts. Brewer's condition could not be determined Sunday.
