We are revealing, in alphabetical order, the 10 finalists for the 2011 Lexington Herald-Leader Kentucky Sportsman of the Year award. The winner will be announced simultaneously the night of Feb. 15 on Kentucky.com and at the inaugural Bluegrass Sports Awards Banquet. Complete results will be in the Feb. 16 Herald-Leader.

What he did in 2011: In the four seasons before Scott Davenport was hired as Bellarmine men's basketball coach in 2005, the Knights program was going nowhere — a 28-54 cumulative record. The ex-Ballard High School head man and University of Louisville assistant has taken the Derby City school to unprecedented heights. In 2011, he led the Knights (33-2) to the NCAA Division II national title and was named D-II National Coach of the Year. Voter comment: "Just like his former bosses Crum and Pitino, Davenport proved to be a master of winning in March." — Kent Taylor, WAVE TV, Louisville
