Man charged after stabbing in Frankfort

A Frankfort man was arrested early Thursday morning in connection with the stabbing of another man, Frankfort police said.

William Barker, 24, was charged with second-degree assault and lodged in the Franklin County Regional Jail.

Barker is accused of stabbing Donte Wakefield, 40, of Frankfort in the hip after the two got into an argument, police said in a release.

The incident was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. Thursday at 325 St. Clair Street.

Barker and Wakefield were both treated at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Barker remains in jail in lieu of a $25,000 full cash bond.
