High school basketball highlights: Feb. 10

Henry Clay recovered from a 24-18 halftime deficit to beat host Paul Dunbar 52-44. Trey Grundy got 18 points for the Blue Devils, now 21-6, and Darren Tichenor got 14 rebounds. William Gary scored 14 for Dunbar. Henry Clay survived 20 turnovers by outshooting Dunbar 42 percent to 34 percent and grabbing more rebounds, 41-32.

■ In a battle of the top two teams in the 14th Region, Perry County Central (21-3) edged Knott County Central (22-3) 46-43.

■ O'Brien Hobbs scored 17 points to lead host Fern Creek past Lexington Christian 67-42. Fern Creek outshot the Eagles 52 percent to 37 percent and outrebounded 32-22. Travis Branham led LCA with 12 points.

■ Senior forward Aaron Perkins scored 31 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Monticello past host Lynn Camp 62-56.

■ Omar Prewitt got 18 points as host Montgomery County beat Bath County 66-33 to win 20 games for the first time since 2008.


■ Maddie Mitchell scored 18 points and Gabby Bowie got 13 points and 12 rebounds as host Sayre beat Williamstown 45-33. Sayre outshot the visitors 37 percent to 23 percent. Sayre built a 16-4 lead and never looked back.
