Lexington police are looking for a man with a teardrop tattoo under his eye after two men were shot in a dark alley Sunday night.
Officers went to Spence Alley, near the intersection of Seventh Street and Broadway, after someone reported gunshots and a man down at 11:14 p.m. Two men apparently had been shot in the alley and had non life-threatening injuries, Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.
One victim was found behind a nearby Speedway gas station with a gunshot wound in his back. A short time later, another man showed up at Good Samaritan Hospital with a bullet wounds to his hand and pelvis, Roberts said. He told police he had been shot during the same incident.
The men were apparently dropped off by an acquaintance in the alley, where they got into an argument with an unknown man that escalated, police said.
The shooter was described as having dreadlocks and a teardrop tattoo under his eye. He may have been driving a white Lexus, Roberts said.
